On 14 October, Millmead Optical Group threw a 75th birthday bash to remember at an exclusive location in central London with stunning views over the city.

The venue was decorated with bio-degradable balloon displays, big light-up letters and scattered diamond crystals to celebrate the diamond anniversary.

Drinks and canapés flowed throughout the evening with a selection of cupcakes on offer with Millmead branding.

Professional photos of the guests were taken in front of a Millmead backdrop, and fun was had at a photobooth featuring props including the group’s own Walter & Herbert sunglasses.

A timeline of the company was displayed on eco-friendly plinths, showcasing a variety of popular brands and products from Millmead – including Original Penguin, Cameo Sustain, Reykjavik Eyes Black Label and Walter & Herbert.

Extra measures were taken to stay Covid-safe during the event – with hand sanitisers and face coverings provided around the venue, and a continuous flow of fresh air maintained through the wide balcony doors.

Any unvaccinated attendees were asked to take a lateral flow test before arriving.

James Conway, Millmead Optical Group CEO, said: “To say the least, it was an unforgettable night.

“After a challenging couple of years, it was great that everyone could experience a bit of normality again.”
