Why did the course appeal to you?

I am an assistant manager in a small independent practice, and having had no managing background I wanted to gain knowledge and formal qualification to be able to professionally lead my team and manage the practice.

Distance learning appealed to me because I have a busy life with working full time and being a mum of 3.

How did you find the course in terms of content, support, ease of study?

Support was fantastic. I very rarely had to wait more, than a day for response from the tutors, and they were always very helpful and informative. They were able to lead me to find my own solutions.

Some units were more enjoyable, than others but the course format allowed me to research the topics until I was able to answer the assignment questions.

How did it help your current role?

I gained formal knowledge over instinctive managing, the course made it easier for me to reason, explain , develop others.

Has it helped with your career aspirations?

I will soon become Manager (been assistant manager before)

What do you plan to do next?

I would like to utilize my knowledge at work, improving procedures. Oh, and rest! I has been an intensive course!

Who would you recommend the course to?

I’d recommend this course to aspiring managers or managers-to-be. Even the most seasoned leaders would probably find something to learn during the course.
