OCT conference returns to the Manor

Topcon Corporation will host its National OCT Conference at the Celtic Manor in South Wales on 12-13 March. It’ll be the first time in three years the conference has been held as an in-person event.

The company is promising a packed schedule of talks, expert-led discussion workshops, and lectures by clinicians, covering a wide range of clinical topics related to optical coherence tomography (OCT) and myopia management, as well as the chance to accrue CPD points.

The schedule of Sunday 12 March will be focused on OCT, while Monday 13 March will be focused on myopia management.

On the Sunday, during ‘OCT case-fest’, there will be keynote lectures from Dr Christiana Dinah and Professor Pearse Keane. There will also be nine different OCT-related workshops across three tracks, and an opportunity to join clinical case discussions.

On ‘Myopia Monday’ there will be lectures, panel discussions, case discussion workshops and opportunities to discover the latest interventions and tools to discuss myopia management with parents and children, as well as gain clinical confidence.

The National OCT Conference is widely considered to be a must-attend event for all those in the OCT and myopia management industry, and it’s conveniently taking place prior to the Optix Conference, which is to be held at the same venue from 13-15 March.

Catherine Chisholm, global director of Topcon Healthcare University, said: “The conference presents an invaluable opportunity for clinicians at all levels of experience to get together with peers and industry leaders. They’ll learn how to enhance patient care, refine their referrals and increase confidence in their working practice, as well as increase their CPD.

“We’re excited to be welcoming many of the UK’s most esteemed practising clinicians and are thrilled to finally be able to host the conference in person again. We know that in-person learning is greatly valued, and has been missed by those who practise in this industry, and we look forward to welcoming delegates for what we hope will be the best National OCT Conference yet.”
