OCT prize win for ABDO member

David and Brian Gleave celebrate their new high-tech arrival

Congratulations to ABDO member, David Gleave, and his father Brian – proud winners of a brand new Optopol Revo FC optical coherence tomographer (OCT) courtesy of BIB Ophthalmic Instruments and Optopol Technologies.

The prize draw took place at 100% Optical earlier this year – and BIB believes the free Optopol Revo FC OCT is UK optic’s largest prize giveaway to date.

The lucky winners were David and Brian Gleave, father and son from Hepworth & Hall Opticians in Manchester. David is a dispensing optician and a member of ABDO, while Brian is an optometrist.

David said: “We were delighted to win the Optopol Revo FC OCT. It was shock at first but once it sunk in, it was replaced by euphoria.

“It was especially pleasing in tough economic times – as this has now enabled us to invest in a second Revo OCT for both of our practices – Hepworth & Hall and Atherton & Pemberton.

“Both practices now have state-of-the-art equipment. This will enable us to provide a thorough eye examination for all our patients and better serve our local community,” added David.
