ABDO has opened bookings for its 2025 Student Revision Event, taking place next February.
Now in its 10th year, the event aims to help student dispensing opticians revise with the support of expert tuition from ABDO practical examiners over the course of two days.
The FQE revision event is for final-year students and is being held at the ABDO National Resource Centre. Due to high demand, ABDO will be offering the same session twice on:
The event costs £99 and students will receive two days of FQE revision, PQP guidance and Q&A, with lunch each day and refreshment breaks.
The 2025 event is kindly sponsored by Stepper.
Dean Dunning, ABDO deputy head of professional qualifications and education, said: “We are delighted to confirm that ABDO’s student revision event will be taking place at the National Resource Centre in Birmingham in February. We want to make sure that as many students are able to attend as possible, and so are running the event twice.
“Using expert ABDO examiners as well as dedicated training kit, we can help students to prepare for all sections of the FQEs using practical workshops, revision lectures and open discussions. Students will have the opportunity to review their own work and techniques in each of the FQE sections, helping to better understand the content and format of the exams.
“By running the event over two days, we can spend significant time with the students in all sections. Both days will be instructive but informal, with ABDO examiners there to welcome and help candidates revise the necessary skills to help achieve exam success,” Dean added.
