Press Release: ABDO revision event opens for Student DOs
The Association of British Dispensing Opticians (ABDO) has opened bookings for a revision event for student DOs. Now in its sixth year, the event aims to help students revise with the support of expert tuition from ABDO practical examiners over a three day online event.
The ABDO 2021 student revision event will take place online on 11, 12 and 13 May.
- Tuesday 11 May: All sections of Unit 2 (PQE practical) including the PQP and case records.
- Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 May: all sections of Unit 12 (FQE practical) including case records.
Alicia Thompson, BSc(Hons) FBDO R (Hons) SLD SMC(Tech), ABDO’s Director of Professional Examinations says, “We are pleased to be able to run this event online, giving students access to great expertise. Every tutor is a current and experienced ABDO Practical Examiner.
“The online format, successfully received last year, allows delegates to join any of the lectures they choose as well as access open question time at the end of each revision session. There will also be access to the recording of most of the event for those who may want to revisit the sections prior to their examinations.”
The event is tailored to the 2015 Level 6 Diploma in Ophthalmic Dispensing. Revision will be delivered through lectures, video demonstrations, peer discussion and open questions. The event is free of charge and open to all PQE and FQE student members.
