The Association of British Dispensing Opticians (ABDO) has announced another speaker for the SEE Summit, Dr Peter Davey, Chief sustainability officer’s clinical fellow 2022–2023, working with NHS England on a variety of projects including net zero eyecare.
Peter is a medical doctor and public health registrar in the North West of England. He has previously worked on various projects around sustainability in public health, with a focus on the role of public health professionals in driving change.
Peter says, “The climate crisis is the health crisis of our time. Whilst it can often feel overwhelming, healthcare professionals from around the world are increasingly taking positive action and finding solutions to the challenge. Everyone has the power to make a difference.”
Peter will be discussing the important contribution eyecare practitioners can make to sustainability in the NHS.
