What made you start the journey to greater sustainability?
We set out to ‘consciously create’ our products by partnering with manufacturers, honouring skilled artisans and traditional techniques, with the modern pace of certified eco practises.
What were your first steps?
The first step was to lay out all the components used in our processes and identify which of them could be converted into a sustainable based product, then we set out to source the items and establish partnerships with suppliers accordingly.
What challenges have you faced?
The premium price applied to eco friendly materials undeniably reflects in a high finished product cost. But it is a challenge we are absolutely committed to as we believe as others take sustainability practices into their manufacturing processes then over time volume should bring the price parity more in line.
What has worked really well?
We have managed to create meaning synergies with other brand’s vision in our eco approach to sustainable fashion which has lead to creative marketing campaigns and collaborations.
What do you plan to do next to become even more sustainable?
We are constantly researching new angles and materials which could be developed into our product offering. We have a new line which is wood based coming out for this Summer, and another really interesting (from an ecological and social perspective) for later in 2022.
