Registration for 100% Optical 2024 and the Love Eyewear Awards have gone live. The show will return to London’s ExCeL for its 10th anniversary edition on 24-26 February.
Bringing together dispensing opticians, optometrists, ophthalmologists, distributors and wholesalers, the show is free to attend and each year features more than 200 eyewear brands, a full education programme, a unique area for makers and crafters, a dispensing workshop, key industry speakers and the Studio space. The show also boasts the Love Eyewear Awards and daily live catwalk shows.
To mark the 10th edition of the show, a new category to celebrate and commend innovation amongst eyewear designers, manufacturers and retailers in the industry has been introduced: Best Innovation. Other categories include New Designer 2024, Sustainable Frame of the Year and Eyewear Retailer of the Year.
Entries will close on 4 December followed by a judging process from 8 January. The shortlisted nominees will be announced on 22 January and the winners announced on the xatwalk during an evening of celebration and entertainment on the first day of the show (Saturday 24 February).
Michelle Whitfield-Jones, 100% Optical’s senior marketing and brand manager, said: “We’re really excited for the fourth edition of the Love Eyewear Awards. Over the years, we have seen some incredible entries and a tough judging process to whittle down the best in each category. Given that 100% Optical 2024 is our 10th anniversary show, we’re anticipating a really exciting awards ceremony and cannot wait to honour the hard work, innovation and creativity this industry has to offer.
“Our goal is always for 100% Optical to showcase the very best designs, products, research and innovation in the world of optics and eyewear, and our increasingly popular awards are the ideal opportunity to shine a light on all of these areas and more. We’re also very excited to see the entries that our brand new category will attract,” added Michelle.
