New roles at Menicon

Piyus Tanna

Piyus Tanna has joined Menicon as professional services manager.

Previously a personal development tutor and optometrist at Vision Express, Piyus is chair of Northamptonshire Local Optical Committee, a registrant reviewer for the General Optical Council, and a CPD author.

He has collaborated in more than 60 wellbeing CPD events and organised the first Optometry Wellbeing Day in 2024. He is the founder of Optometry Wellness and was named Optometrist of the Year at the 2024 Eyecare Awards.

“I am excited and grateful to be joining an innovating company that genuinely wants to make a difference in the world,” said Piyus.

Qualified dispensing and contact lens optician, Josie Barlow, previously head of professional services, is now head of customer support at the contact lens firm.

Josie said: “We are thrilled to welcome Piyus to the Menicon team. His passion for eyecare and commitment to professional development make him a valuable asset to our organisation, and I look forward to working closely with him in his new role.“
