ABDO has opened applications for the first intake of its 2024 Management, Leadership and Training (MLT) courses – aimed at employers seeking to develop existing managers and individuals aspiring to a role in management.
Launched in 2020, the series of training courses and qualifications is run in association with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), which also assess and award the qualification.
The four courses available are:
• Management and Leadership Diploma
• Continuing Improvement Certificate
• Growing Leader Certificate
• Management Essentials Certificate
ABDO training is via e-learning, removing the need for time away from the business to complete study. There are also optional workshops to allow students to extend their knowledge.
ABDO MLT is designed as a route to turning any informal learning into a recognised qualification through a course of study and assessment. The qualification awarded by CMI is well recognised, and students receive CMI membership and access to the support and materials its offers, including the ManagementDirect online resource.
ABDO head of corporate development, Nick Walsh, said: “Formal management and leadership development can be instrumental in growing a stronger team. As an employer, you will encourage better productivity and job satisfaction for your employees who are given such an opportunity.
“For individuals, it can help you to stand out from the crowd by improving your CV with the addition of a formal qualification in management and leadership. It can also indicate to your current employers that you are ready to take on more responsibility. Formal learning is a great way to hone your existing skills and learn new skills,” added Nick.
ABDO offers Level 5 qualifications through study towards either a diploma or a certificate, which is awarded by the highly recognised Chartered Management Institute.”
Applications close on 4 April, and study starts on 1 May. Find out more here.
