ABDO has announced the results of its 2021 board elections, which saw the biggest turnout in many years.
Joining the ABDO board or the first time are Gill Bickle and Joshua Smith.
Julie Lees has been re-elected to serve another three-year term, while Peter Black re-joins after having previously served as a board member and then president.
Tony Garrett, ABDO general secretary, said: ” I am delighted to welcome two new board members – Gill Bickle and Joshua Smith – following this year’s round of elections.
“In addition, Peter Black returns to the board after a brief interlude, and Julie Lees continues into a second term. I am sure they will all make a significant contribution to the future of the Association.
“This year’s election saw the biggest turnout for many years, and clearly reflected the interest caused by such a large field of candidates with a diverse spread of interests and experience,” added Tony.
Gill, Joshua, Peter and Julie will serve alongside current board members: Saima Begum, Lorraine Bleasdale, Kevin Gutsell, Jo Holmes (president) and Daryl Newsome (vice president).
