ABDO is offering two new management workshops to all in the optical community.
The two workshops, one on change management and the other on conflict management, have been created in response to feedback from ABDO’s popular management and leadership training courses.
The ABDO Change Management Workshop will take place on 12 April – and the ABDO Conflict Management Workshop on 13 April – at the ABDO National Resource Centre just outside Birmingham city centre.
Nick Walsh, ABDO head of corporate development, said: “Twenty-first century leaders and managers need a higher level of skill and new competencies. Workshop delegates’ will acquire transferable knowledge and skills to help them improve their performance – both personally and professionally.
“We want delegates to build on their previous learning from experience and discover what will help – and what will hinder – as they tackle current and future challenges. They will view issues in new ways and embrace different skills and behaviours for positive business outcomes, as well as personal development. And don’t worry, there will be no role play.”
Expert tutors will facilitate the workshops, which will consist of teaching, group work and opportunities to delve into real challenges and look at how theory is applied to the workplace.
