Appointments at J&J Vision

Chirag Amin

Johnson & Johnson (J&J) Vision Care UK & Ireland has appointed Chirag Amin as its new general manager. Robyn Marsden and Risha Patel have also joined the company as professional education and development managers. 

Chirag Amin started his career in 2005 within DePuy Synthes in the UK – later becoming marketing director for its Asia Pacific region based in Singapore. In 2020, Chirag relocated to Japan as senior director for the DePuy Synthes Spine business.

In his new role, Chirag will be based at the company’s Pinewood campus in Wokingham – concentrating on driving innovation in the contact lens category and enhancing customer support.

He told DO Online: “‘I am looking forward to adding value to the vision care business by investing in the contact lens category, driving innovation, and providing customers with dedicated support for product delivery, as well as working to maintain a relentless customer focus.”

Robyn Marsden

Robyn Marsden has been a professional affairs consultant (PAC) for J&J Vision since 2010, and an area PAC since 2017. Robyn has spent the past seven years supporting the development of the Nordic PAC team and driving educational initiatives within GrandVision and other key accounts.

When working as a PAC, Robyn also continued to work as a locum optometrist, as an assessor for the College of Optometrists and as a faculty member for the Johnson & Johnson Institute.

Risha Patel

Risha Patel joins the company from Boots Opticians, where she worked as an optometrist, pre-registration supervisor and latterly as a learning and development specialist.

As a pre-registration primary supervisor, Risha supported nine students through their training. In her role as a learning and development specialist, Risha developed and delivered education for pre-registration optometrists to support successful qualification.

In their new roles, Robyn and Risha will support the professional education and development team to deliver “patient-centered focus and industry insight into educational programmes”.
