Charity donation terminals offer

Ten free terminals on offer to ABDO members

Leading sight-loss charity Orbis is offering ABDO members the chance to obtain a free contactless donation terminal for their practice.

There are 10 terminals are available on a first come, first served basis. They are intended to provide practices with an easy and effective way to demonstrate caring and charitable aims to patients and the local community.

The counter-top terminals operate via WiFi with a digital display showing images of children with sight loss that Orbis has helped. There is an option for patients to donate £5 (or more) for a pair of spectacles by tapping their card.

Orbis ambassador and eyewear designer, Tom Davies, is already on board.

He said: “I am proud to have committed to hosting one of the terminals at my Sloane Square store. Join me in supporting this great initiative. Orbis’s work has real synergy with the optical sector.”

ABDO members may apply for a free terminal by contacting Matt Coleman at Orbis on 07877 407 832 or emailing mcoleman@orbis.org.uk
