Dispensing Optics wrap goes green

ABDO is pleased to announce that the wrap packaging for its monthly journal, Dispensing Optics, is now biodegradable and made from 100 per cent compostable potato starch.

ABDO head of communications, Antonia Chitty, said: “As an organisation, ABDO is committed to working to minimise the impact of its activities on the environment. Changing the mailer for Dispensing Optics magazine is an important step, and we will continue to look at all the ways we can reduce use of materials, use recyclable products where we can, at the same time as providing members with the best value for their membership fee.

“I’d welcome further input from members on this important strand of activity too.”

In addition to its new eco-friendly packaging, Dispensing Optics is already printed on FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) mixed credit paper stock.
