DOs “key to driving business” says award winner

A practice boasting six dispensing opticians, and three contact lens opticians currently on the FBDO programme, celebrated winning the Multiple Practice of the Year Award at last week’s Optician Awards in London.

The Specsavers Northampton team is led by Jude Edwards and Mukesh Patel.

Retail director Mukesh said: “Dispensing opticians are the key to driving our business forwards professionally. They assist in all of aspects of training and are helping us build a bigger brighter future by assisting in creating our personal goal of 10 dispensing opticians in 10 years. Between them is more than 80 years worth of experience, which gives our team a wealth of knowledge to learn from.”

“We are absolutely elated to have won the award,” added optometry director, Jude. “It is also humbling to know that the team have done it for a third year in a row in terms of being finalists for three of the years, and winning awards twice in that time just shows how fantastic they are.”
