Key promotions at ABDO NRC

ABDO has announced two key promotions at its National Resource Centre (NRC) in Birmingham.

Matthew Stringer has been promoted from NRC technician to NRC operations manager, while Gemma Evans has been promoted from events coordinator to events manager.

Alicia Thompson, ABDO director of professional examinations, said: “The change in Mat and Gemma’s job role and title reflects their hard work and total dedication in building the business side of the NRC beyond all expectation. Their delivery of excellent customer service, along with the entire NRC team, means we are seeing very high levels of customer satisfaction, repeat business and recommendations.”

ABDO’s NRC is the go-to venue for examinations for a number of organisations and hosts conferences, seminars, training, revision and CET courses for the optical industry. The venue also offers rooms for viva exams and smaller meetings, a fully functional glazing lab and 10 clinical bays equipped for refraction and contact lenses.

The centre is available to businesses as well as those in the optical industry to hire for large and small meetings and events.
