A new speaker has been announced for Independents Day (iDay) taking place on 4 July with a focus on commercialising myopia management.
Behavioural optometrist, Bhavin Shah, joins expert in therapeutics and dry eye management Sarah Farrant, and Indie Grewal, a specialist in multifocal contact lens fitting.
Nick Atkins, director of conference organisers Proven Track Record (PTR), said: “These front-runners in offering their patients myopia management will share their learnings and practice management pearls.”
The keynote speakers are from the US: Dr Gary Gerber, co-founder of Treehouse Eyes, who will talk about commercialising myopia management, and Matt Oerding, chief executive of Treehouse Eyes, who will discuss how not to market myopia management.
UK speakers include Nick Dash, optometric director of the Matrix Eye Clinics, and Sarah Morgan, vision sciences fellow at the University of Manchester. Craig McArthur, director of Peter Ivins Eye Care, completes the line-up.
