A myopia management information service for eyecare professionals (ECPs) has unveiled a revamped website with new features.
The updated platform includes two new sections to provide more in-depth product information. The myopia control product compendium combines articles, case studies, and science reviews with tailored information on products. This helps ECPs to understand the options, their effectiveness, and how to best prescribe them for the patient’s individual needs. Each product listing includes links to relevant articles, along with a collection of prescribing resources.
A knowledge centre offers both clinical and science articles. Both open-field and guided search options are available. Explore by article type or choose from 22 topic headings.
The site was developed by a husband and wife team of optometrists based in Brisbane, Australia. Co-founder Dr Paul Gifford said: “The new website represents a significant step forward in our commitment to providing ECPs with essential resources for effective myopia management.
“A seamless user experience empowers the eye care community through a wealth of resources and insights that ultimately translate into better patient outcomes.”
The relaunch comes just ahead of Myopia Profile’s first annual myopia action month in September. Co-founder Dr Kate Gifford said: “Early intervention and elevating the standard of paediatric vision care are pivotal in improving outcomes for children with myopia.
“Myopia Action Month encourages even more ECPs to be a part of the solution by providing them with the educational materials and clinical practice tools necessary to start taking action now, or for those already involved, to have a greater impact.”
