The organiser of the German trade fair – Opti – has published a set of FAQs regarding its Covid-19 health and safety measures, with assurances that policies may be eased and adjusted during the course of the current pandemic.
Gesellschaft für Handwerksmessen (GHM) made the assurances as its prepares to hold the first optical trade show of 2021 – in Stuttgart from 8-10 January. It will be the first time the show is held in the city, as it alternates between its traditional location in Munich.
GHM chairman, Dieter Dohr, said: “”We are pleased to be able to provide our exhibitors and all other stakeholders with concrete measures that will make Opti 2021 a successful and secure business platform.
“In January, the industry will not have met for a whole year, which makes Opti 2021 one of the most important event to date. More than ever before, Opti will thus serve as the much needed platform at the beginning of the year, that supports the economy, brings personal business relationships back to flourish and initiates orders.
“Our contribution is to provide a secure meeting place and business platform for the optics family – this is the promise we made and this is the promise we keep, as our concept shows.”
Jörn Holtmeier, managing director of the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry, added: “Recently, the German trade fair organisers have developed comprehensive hygiene and distance concepts in coordination with the health authorities. They guarantee a very high level of health protection for all persons participating in trade fairs in Germany in the upcoming months. Under similar conditions, several trade fairs of German organisers have already been successfully held in China.”
