As millions join in climate strikes around the globe today, ABDO has announced it is embarking on its own way to help tackle climate change.
For the 2020 membership renewal process, the Association is changing the way it communicates with members.
ABDO head of membership services, Katie Docker, explained: “From now on, all renewals will be done electronically with no paper versions sent out. We will also be discontinuing membership cards and benefit brochures.
“Our aim is to become paperless so receipts will be available online along with Professional Indemnity Insurance certificates and a Certificate for Membership for the current year. Direct debit advices will also be found on members’ online accounts for the subsequent year.
“Emails will be sent out in the second week of December, so we just wanted to let members know about the new system well in advance so they can register an email address or make sure we have the correct details for them.
“ABDO hopes all members will embrace these changes and help us do our bit for the world,” Katie added.
