ABDO president, Clive Marchant, was a guest of the Department of Vision and Hearing Sciences at Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) last month, where he presented two students with two special prizes.
The first ABDO Prize was awarded to Sachin Ramanandi for meritorious performance within the Degree of Ophthalmic Dispensing.
The second ABDO Prize was awarded to Huda Elrify for exceptional effort and determination within the Degree of Ophthalmic Dispensing.
The students received their awards on 15 October – the day of ARU’s annual graduation ceremony held in the Cambridge Corn Exchange. The prize giving took place following the graduation, on the university’s Cambridge Campus.
Clive said: “I was delighted to be invited to ARU graduation and prize giving to present the ABDO prizes. It’s always a pleasure to see our future dispensing opticians graduate – and again my congratulations to those who received prizes for outstanding results.”
