Some 40 practitioners attended a recent Specialist Club Myopia Day in Birmingham – organised by Positive Impact.
Attendees, keen to learn more about myopia management, were able to attain up to nine CPD points during the course of the day’s lectures and workshops.
In her keynote presentation, Professor Nicola Logan reviewed the latest clinical data on myopia progression in children and young adults wearing commercially available spectacles and contact lenses.
Speaker Brian Tompkins commented: “The myopia control element of practice is rarely covered to the degree that was featured at the Myopia Day. It was nice to see so many there who were engaged with the concept and now have different thinking about it.
“This emphasises that myopia management in practice has gone from correction to crucial,” Brian added.
