Silhouette is donating 20,000 pairs of Evil Eye glasses – its recently launched sports eyewear collection – to the Red Cross to help assist with the surge in demand for personal protective equipment (PPE) equipment.
The donation consists of 5,000 pairs for the Red Cross in Upper Austria with a further 15,000 pairs to be distributed across the remaining Austrian states. The glasses can be utilised by the mobile sampling teams and at Covid-19 drive-in test centres.
Evil eye brand director, Susanna Kumpfmüller (pictured left) from Silhouette International, handed over part of the glasses donation without contact to the Upper Austrian Red Cross president, Dr Aichinger
The Austrian eyewear label is also developing some special products – the Evil Eye E012 Epyx-y and E015 Epyx0x – to be donated to healthcare workers. Both models will be fitted with clear lenses and will be ready for shipping in three weeks. These models have already been tested in the field with the Austrian Red Cross and have now been approved for use.
