100% Optical has confirmed that its Love Eyewear Awards will be back for its 2022 show in London.
A glittering evening of celebration and entertainment, hosted by fashion presenter Annaliese Dayes, the awards celebrate the sector and promote eyewear amongst independent and major designers, manufacturers and retailers.
There will be 12 awards for 2022, including new categories such as International Eyewear Retailer of the Year. The 2020 winners included: Kid’s Frame of the Year: Mondottica for the Zoobug Butterfly frame; Men’s Frame of the Year: Gotti for its Perspective DC02 Bold; Women’s Frame of the Year: Albert Imstein for the Digeoin Warsaw Dreamer C5; and New Designer 2020: Adrian Muller.
Entries for all award categories will be reviewed and shortlisted by a jury of eyewear bloggers and stylists; the shortlist will then be open to a public vote. The winners will be announced at the event on the evening of Saturday 22 January.
The show will also celebrate Love Eyewear Week (17 to 23 January), a campaign that aims to help optical practices increase sales, as well as raising awareness and love of the world’s most important fashion accessory.
Nathan Garnett, 100% Optical show director, commented: “The response to the inaugural Love Eyewear Awards in 2020 was phenomenal, and the standard was so high that our panel of eyewear bloggers and stylists had an extremely difficult time judging the entries. We can’t wait to see what this year’s awards bring.”
Entries for the Love Eyewear Awards open on 18 October, with a deadline of 5 November. The shortlisted finalists will be announced on 1 December.
100% Optical takes place from 22-24 January, with a host of new features and an even stronger focus on sustainability.
Visitor registration for 100% Optical is now live on the event website.
