Specsavers held 178 online and face-to-face CPD sessions in their latest Mini Professional Advancement series.

Ten events were held in locations across the UK and Dublin, many open to eyecare professionals working outside the company. There were also 10 webinars.

Delegates earned nearly 17,000 CPD points between February and June.

Neil Retallic, SPecsavers head of professional development, said: “Delivering outstanding patient care is at the heart of what Specsavers does, and supporting CPD for clinicians and their teams across the sector –  both internally and externally – is part of that mission.

“Congratulations to all the delegates made up of optometrists, DOs and CLOs for securing nearly 17,000 CPD points,” he added.

The areas covered included myopia management, presbyopia, dispensing, a day in the life of an independent prescriber, domiciliary practice and living with low vision.

Provider-led peer review, lectures and workshops were on offer.
